- William’s hands look somewhat normal at birth, with only tiny nubs on the tips of each finger, grow into hands over time; this is completely medically impossible but FUCK THE POLICE
- Winnie’s condition grows with puberty, she keeps it secret until something??? happens and then she gets chased out of her house/runs away
- Oren & Nero did have a loving immediate family, but when their parents died, they had no where else to go, they would have gone to an asylum if they hadn’t run away
- the whole time, show the group becoming more and more hostile, more unhinged about Brody
Wow, I actually just… kinda… completely planned out this story. Everything except the ending. I still can’t decide what ending I want to go with. I think I want to make it really open ended. They clearly have the intent to kill him, and he speaks his part, but it is left completely ambiguous whether they actually kill him or not…
The only thing is, I have decided how I want to actually set up the story, with the individual character chapters. I just don’t know what order to put the chapters in. I am torn between the actual telling of the story and what would be best in regards to that, and not wanting to give the important super rising action chapters right before the finale to characters I don’t like as much (cough cough Benjamin). See, Benjamin’s chapter is important because it explains his and Brody’s relationship and has Brody taking note of the ramped up hostility towards him, which leads right into the finale. But, I also could probably work Tucker’s and William’s chapters, which will undoubtedly be my favourites, right before the climax. I guess it still comes down to whether I want to kill Tucker or not, and what ending I want… So I guess I still have work to do, but I am a lot closer to the end than I was.

When it comes down to it, Nanashi is actually probably the strongest fighter in Kirian’s group. Not strongest as in brute strength - that would probably be Aki - but the best, most skilled all around fighter.
And he’s fifteen. Hm.

Harlin actually gets upset about Violence’s sexism and calls her out on it? Sign of him getting more courageous and sure of himself.
The point of the story isn’t that in the end he conforms to a slightly more male image, it’s that he changes his personal style because it’s what’s comfortable for him. The moral of his story is being who you are. The female clothing was like a crutch for him, so that even though he didn’t necessarily like it, he could tolerate it because it was comforting, what he had always known. In the end, he still retains his femininity, but in a way more befitting of his own choices, not his mother’s, and his new stance in life.
So I think he needs to actually get pissed at Vi, because she can be such a jerk sometimes. It’s not that she actually hates his gender nonconformity, but that she says things without realizing that they are in fact sexist, and could really hurt Harlin’s feelings.
